Saint Joseph Living Center maintains a zero tolerance policy on discrimination. This policy applies to all Board members, employees, residents, volunteers, visitors, clients and contractors.
Saint Joseph Living Center follows an equal opportunity employment policy and employs personnel without regard to race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, mental retardation, physical or mental disability, including but not limited to blindness, unless the organization demonstrates that such disability prevents performance of the work involved, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status. This Institution will not discriminate or permit discrimination against any person or groups of persons on the grounds of sexual orientation, in any manner prohibited by the laws of the United States or of the State of Connecticut, and employees are treated when employed without regard to their sexual orientation.
This policy is also applicable to internal promotions, training, opportunities for advancement, terminations, outside vendors, members and customers, clients, use of contractors and consultants, and dealings with the general public.
All solicitations or advertisements for employees placed by or on behalf of the Living Center, will include a statement that the Institution is an “affirmative action-equal opportunity employer”.
